Take a look at your child’s teeth. If you see one or more of the following situations, early orthodontic treatment may prevent or intercept more serious problems from developing in the future and may make treatment at a later age shorter and less complicated.

1. Do the upper teeth protrude? Excessive protrusion of the upper front teeth or “BUCK TEETH”, is by far the most common orthodontic problem.
2. Is there a deep bite? The upper from teeth cover the lower front teeth too much.
3. Is there a crossbite? The upper front teeth fit inside the arch of the lower teeth.
4. Is there an open bite? A space exists between the upper and lower front teeth when the back teeth are together.
5. How are the teeth aligned? Crowded or overlapped……

6. Do the midlines line up? The spaces between the two upper front teeth and two lower front teeth should line up with each other and then line up with the bridge of the nose.

An orthodontic examination does not always result in immediate treatment. It does however, allow us to determine how and when your child’s particular problem should best be treated. Maximum improvement with the least amount of time and expense involved is the goal at this early stage.
