Metal Braces
The most common type of braces are made of high quality stainless steel. These braces are strong, durable and easy to maintain. Metal braces work along with metal wires to align the teeth. A fun option with these braces is the use of coloured elastics to hold the wires in place which creates a unique smile.
Ceramic Braces
Also known as “clear” braces, ceramic braces are visually less prominent and therefore common with adults and older teens. These braces may require more attention and maintenance to arrange your teeth in their ideal position. Ceramic braces can be used on the upper teeth where esthetics is a primary concern, while metal braces are worn on the lower teeth where esthetics is not an issue.
Invisible Braces
By now, you have probably heard about the new kid on the block….Invisalign. This product has been designed for those who want straight teeth but hate the thought of conventional braces. Invisalign is a series of clear plastic aligners that fit snugly over the teeth and are changed at 2 – 3 week intervals. They move your teeth efficiently while giving you the freedom to “take them off” to eat or brush. Invisalign aligners are extremely comfortable, easy to wear and highly esthetic. |

Lingual Braces
These braces are traditional metal braces which are cemented to the inside of your teeth so they can be “invisible” when you smile. Lingual braces and the wires to go with them are 100% customized for each individual using state-of-the-art technology. These braces are ideal for orthodontic problems where patients require the ultimate in ideal esthetics during treatment. Adult professionals, athletes and wind instrument musicians are ideal for this type of treatment.
