The first visit to our office is complimentary and should take place no later than age seven or at an even earlier age if you as a parent detect a problem. An early examination does not always result in immediate treatment but does however, allow Dr. Collins to determine how and when your child's problem should best be treated.

An early orthodontic evaluation is recommended for children with...

• difficulty chewing
• open mouth breathing
• thumb or finger sucking
• overlapping or crowding of erupting permanent teeth
• Jaws that click or pop

Early orthodontic treatment can help minimize the need for more extensive treatment later as well as improve a child's self esteem.
